This programme is designed for graduates or experienced managers who wish to further develop their career in management. The programme covers a wide range of contemporary issues and develops the critical, analytical and technical skills needed by senior management staff. The programme will also develop the academic skills required for further study at postgraduate level.

Entry Requirements

On entry a student will have:

• An honours degree from a UK university (minimum 2:2) in any subject, or equivalent award from a non-UK university, OR
• Three years' work experience at managerial level with significant responsibility for resources (staff, financial, physical etc, or a combination of these). Prospective students must be able to demonstrate that these responsibilities were significant and that they had a high level of autonomy. A decision on entry to the programme via a work experience route will be made by NCC Education.

If the student does not have an undergraduate degree that was wholly taught and examined in English, they will need to have English proficiency to IELTS 6.5 or equivalent.

The qualification is designed to allow entry to and/or enhance progression in a wide range of management roles in the public, private or charitable sectors.

Students who have successfully completed the NCC Education PgD BM will be eligible to progress onto the Masters level of the University of Gloucestershire:

• MSc in Business Administration

Alternatively, students who meet the above requirement and also have two years relevant managerial work experience are welcome to apply onto:

• Masters in Business Administration (MBA)

The MSc and the MBA are both full-time programmes of study with an intensive period of tuition being spent at the University of Gloucestershire's new London Campus or at the Park Campus Cheltenham. Students will then complete a period of sustained supervision research which will require them to commit to frequent, scheduled, supervisory progression meetings with their allocated tutor.

Students whose first language is not English are also required to hold a minimum of IELTS 6.5 (or equivalent), with a grade of 6.0 in the writing element, if the Postgraduate Diploma was studied outside of the UK or Ireland.
