ABE Business Management

Commencement: Jan/Feb & Sep/Oct
Mode:                      Full - Time, 15-21 hrs a week

Course Details:

There are many opportunities for well qualified students in the business, financial and industrial sectors and increasingly the public services such as health education and local government. The college offers a number of courses that lead to internationally recognised professional and academic qualifications.

The courses offered at three levels; Certificate, Diploma and Advance Diploma.

Certificate: (Currently we donot offer Certificate Level)

There are four compulsory papers:

  • Introduction to Business
  • Introduction to Quantitative Methods
  • Introduction to Accounting
  • Introduction to Business Communications

Entry Requirements: Four GCSE/GCE Ordinary Level passes at grade C or above or equivalent overseas qualifications.

Diploma:

Diploma is divided into two parts.

Part 1: Four compulsory papers are

  • Financial Accounting
  • Organisational Behaviour
  • Quantitative Methods for Business and Management and
  • Economic Principles and their Application to Business

Part 2: Three compulsory subjects

  • Marketing Policy, Planning and Communication
  • Human Resources Management
  • Management in Action

Plus two from

  • Systems Analysis and Design
  • Managerial Accounting
  • Principles of Business Law

Entry Requirement: ABE Certificate or four GCSE/GCE Ordinary Level plus two A levels or equivalent overseas qualifications.

Course Fee:

UK Residing Students    £2500.00 (each year)
Overseas Students         £3750.00 (each year)

Advanced Diploma:

Compulsory papers are

  • Corporate Strategy and planning
  • International Business Case Study
  • Managing in Organisation

Plus Two from the following options

  • Strategic Marketing Management
  • Corporate Finance
  • Strategic Human Resource Management for Business Organisation
  • Managing the Information Resource

Entry Requirement: ABE Diploma or other recognised qualification of an approved overseas institution of Higher Education.

Course Fee:

UK Residing Students    £2800.00
Overseas Students         £3900.00

ABE qualification are well established and meet the entry requirements for BA (Hons) or MBA programmes at leading British and American Universities. The successful completion of ABE Advanced Diploma will normally be accepted by most universities for BA (Hons) or BBA degree 3rd year or Postgraduate Diploma in Management Studies (DMS) leading to MBA.
