Society (BCS) Professional Examination is an internationally
recognised qualification, essential for a career in computing
and IT. It is examined to the level of an honours degree,
which acknowledges your practical experience as well as your
academic abilities. It will give you a distinctive edge over
the competition, as employers can be confident that you know
not only what you are doing, but how and why.
THE STRUCTURE OF THE EXAMINATION
The Examination has a following modular structure, set in three parts with Specific project Works
* Certificate (BCS Level 4 Certificate in IT)
* Diploma (BCS Level 5 Diploma in IT)
* Professional Graduate Diploma (BCS Level 6 Professional Graduate Diploma in IT)
CERTIFICATE IN IT (QCA Level 4)
The certificate in IT is the foundation level of Higher Education Qualifications which is equivalent to Year 1 of a UK university honors degree. It is recognized by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as Level 4. This course is suitable for people who want to develop their career in the Information technology or want to work with computer and thus need some appropriate education. Completion of all the modules below will lead to the Diploma in IT and will satisfy the entry requirements to the BCS Diploma in IT.
The course structure components are made up of three core modules:

* Software Development
* Computer & Network Technology

DIPLOMA in IT
The diploma in IT is the Diploma level of Higher Education Qualifications which is equivalent to Year 2 of a UK university honors degree. It is recognized by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as Level 5. The qualification will consist of a two hour written paper on the compulsory core module, and a two hour written paper on each of the three modules chosen from the list of specialist and the Diploma Project. Successful completion of Diploma in IT level students enables to apply for selected degree courses with Universities.

Professional Graduate Diploma in IT
The diploma in IT is the PGD level of Higher Education Qualifications which is equivalent to Year 3 of a UK university honors degree. It is recognized by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority (QCA) as Level 6. The qualification will consist of a three hour written paper on the each of the four modules chosen from the list of specialist and the professional Graduate Diploma Project. Successful completion of Diploma in IT level students enables to apply for selected post graduate courses with Universities.
